Your field records stay on your phone.
Tuco Field helps field workers in the energy, water and utility-billing sectors log expenses, days off, meter readings, contracts and invoices. This policy explains what happens to that information. In short, the app keeps it on your device, and we don't run any server that collects it.
Tuco Field is published by James Foster ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email james.foster68@gmail.com.
Effective: 1 October 2026No tracking fitted
Summary
Tuco Field works on your device. You don't need to create an account with us. Your expenses, absence records, meter readings, contracts and invoices are saved in the app's local storage on your phone or tablet.
We don't sell data, show ads, or build in any analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. We have no copy of the records you keep in Tuco Field, so we can't view, share or hand them over.
What you enter into the app
The app only holds information that you type into it, for example:
- Expenses: amounts, dates, categories (material, transport, other) and notes.
- Days off and absence: leave dates, absence types and your remaining annual leave balance.
- Meters and readings: meter identifiers, reading values, dates and site notes.
- Contracts and invoices: customer or contract names, reference numbers, amounts and validity dates.
This information is used only to show your records, sort them and calculate totals inside the app.
Where your data is stored
Records are stored locally on your device. If you turn on your operating system's backup or device-to-device transfer (for example iCloud Backup on iOS or Google backup on Android), the app's data may be included in that backup. Those services are provided and governed by Apple or Google under their own privacy terms, not by us.
If you delete the app, its local data is deleted from that device. Unless you have a system backup, we can't recover it for you.
Your records are protected by your device's own security, such as its screen lock and storage encryption. We recommend keeping a screen lock on any phone you use for work.

If the app store that delivered Tuco Field gives developers aggregated crash or download statistics, they reach us anonymised and in summary form, under that store's own terms. We don't use them to identify anyone.
Customer details you record
In your work you may enter details about other people, such as a customer's name, address, meter number or contract terms. That information stays on your device with the rest of your records. We never receive it.
If you record customer details for your employer or your own business, you (or your employer) decide how they are used. Under the GDPR and Czech data-protection law, that makes you or your employer the data controller. Please only record what you need for the job, and follow your company's data-handling rules.
Device permissions
Tuco Field doesn't need access to your location, camera, microphone or contacts to work. If a future version adds an optional feature that needs a permission (for example, a reminder notification when a contract is about to expire), your device will ask you first. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings, and your existing records won't be affected.
When you contact us
If you email us or use the form on our Support page, we receive whatever you choose to send, usually your name, your email address and your message. We use it only to answer you. We keep that correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your request, and for no longer than 24 months. Then we delete it.
Please don't send real customer data, meter readings or invoices by email unless we specifically ask for them to fix a problem.
Your rights, children and changes
Your rights. You can view, edit or delete your records in the app at any time. Under the GDPR you also have the right to ask about, correct or erase any correspondence we hold about you. Email james.foster68@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the Czech Republic, that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
Children. Tuco Field is a work tool for adults. It isn't aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes. We won't start collecting your records without asking you clearly first.
